Free is for individual developers exploring Embedder on their own projects, without commercial use. Startup is for teams building commercial products, with the full hardware catalog, full model selection, and credits shared across the team. Enterprise is for organizations that need unlimited seats and credits within limits they set, custom platforms and peripherals, and single-tenant, VPC, or on-premises deployment.
Any work on a product, service, or client project that is sold, licensed, or used to generate revenue, including internal tooling at a for-profit company. Personal projects, learning, and evaluation are fine on Free.
Yes. Contact us to move to Startup or Enterprise. Your firmware and the EMBEDDER.md project notes stay in your repository, so nothing needs to be migrated.
Credits measure Embedder usage. Each agent request uses credits based on the model and the amount of work it does, so larger tasks and more capable models use more.
On Startup, you can add more credits yourself whenever you need them. Enterprise credits follow your contract, which usually sets a fixed credit commitment; contact your account manager to raise your spend limit.
Startup credits are pooled across your team. Admins can see usage and spend for every member in one view and set credit limits per member.
Startup includes up to 5 seats. Teams that need more can move to Enterprise, which has no seat cap; your company decides how many.
On paid plans, neither Embedder nor its model providers use your inputs, outputs, uploaded content, or related data to train, fine-tune, improve, or develop AI or machine-learning models. You keep ownership of the source code, schematics, documents, and data you submit.
Yes, on Enterprise. Teams can deploy single-tenant, in their own VPC, or on-premises, including air-gapped installs with local models, so the work stays inside infrastructure they control.
