Embedder and SEGGER partner to enable AI agents to test, debug, and validate firmware on real hardware using J-Link and J-Trace probes.

Embedder and SEGGER today announced a partnership that gives Embedder's AI agent direct access to SEGGER J-Link and J-Trace probes, enabling the firmware it writes to be tested and debugged on real hardware before it ships.
Embedder is an AI coding agent built for embedded software engineering. Through J-Link, the agent interacts with the target hardware much like an engineer would: It flashes the build, sets breakpoints, inspects registers and memory, and monitors live output over RTT. When something fails, it continues debugging directly on the device until the code runs correctly.
J-Link is the market-leading family of debug probes in the industry, supporting more than 15,000 devices across all major MCU families. Their high-speed programming and reliable target communication also make them well suited for autonomous agent demands.
