Embedder Featured in ElectroniqueS

April 29, 2026

ElectroniqueS, a French publication, has dedicated an entire page of their latest edition to Embedder. I've translated my favorite excerpt from the article!

In Germany, professional trade fairs open their doors wide to students coming to get a feel for their future industry (and drop off a few CVs in the process). Unlike other countries where industry professionals poorly hide a mix of distrust and condescension when they see students wandering between stands, the Germans tend to cultivate the appeal of their industries among the youth.

However, at the recent Embedded World show in Nuremberg, at the booth of the Californian startup Embedder, one had to be careful not to mistake CEO Ethan Gibbs for a student. Despite his youthful appearance, the man who was still studying computer science at the University of Michigan last year displays all the determination of a seasoned entrepreneur.

His strategy consists of leveraging a specific artificial intelligence engine to automate the generation of firmware running on the industry’s major families of microcontrollers. This is often a thankless task: as Embedder points out, engineers often spend more time navigating between reference manuals, register maps, and errata than writing functional code.

While some developers already use AI to simplify their lives—often general-purpose tools like ChatGPT—the latter, due to a lack of expertise, can scatter difficult-to-spot "hallucinations" throughout the firmware. In contrast, Embedder claims to generate code verified against the silicon even before the production phase.

Always honored to be featured in industry publications. Embedder will be traveling back to Europe for another conference very soon!
